About MutualFundHouse

What we are

MutualFundHouse is an independent educational reference platform for Indian mutual fund investors. We publish precise definitions, worked examples, and real-world context for every important mutual fund concept — from basics like NAV and SIP to advanced metrics like Modified Duration, Calmar Ratio, and Portfolio Overlap.

Why we built this

Mutual fund investing in India has grown enormously — yet the gap between product availability and investor understanding remains wide. Most resources either oversimplify (leaving investors without real understanding) or overwhelm (dense text aimed at professionals). We believe there is a third path: precise, jargon-free explanations that respect the reader's intelligence.

Every term in our dictionary is written to answer three questions: What is it? How does it actually work? And why does it matter to your investment decisions?

What we offer

  • Dictionary — 185+ mutual fund terms across 8 categories, with full definitions, worked examples, formulas, and cross-references.
  • Calculators — SIP and SWP calculators with visualisations to help investors project outcomes and plan withdrawals.

Independence & no conflicts of interest

MutualFundHouse does not sell mutual funds, does not provide personalised investment advice, and does not earn commission from any fund house or distributor. We have no financial relationship with any AMC, broker, or financial services provider. All content is published for educational purposes only.

Accuracy & updates

We strive to keep all content accurate and current with SEBI regulations, AMFI guidelines, and applicable tax rules. Financial regulations change — particularly taxation rules — and content is reviewed when significant regulatory updates occur. Always verify critical financial information with a SEBI-registered investment advisor or tax professional before making investment decisions.
